Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado can prove doubters wrong by emulating the success of Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez, according to Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta.
The Evening Standard report that Marotta believes Cuadrado can reignite his club career at Juve, as well as comparing the winger to the likes of Pirlo and Tevez; who both revived their careers in Turin amidst doubts the peaks of their respective careers had been and gone.
Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport, Marotta said, “I do see comparisons between the arrival of Cuadrado and those of Tevez and Andrea Pirlo, as they too were signed amid scepticism and did great things.”
Whilst the comparison of the two players is a surprising one, Juventus has provided the Colombian with a chance to get his career back on track after a disappointing spell in England.

Similarly to Chelsea, Juventus have also endured a less-than-impressive start to their title defence. The Old Lady has lost their first two games in Serie A but, similarly to Mourinho’s comments earlier reported on Read Chelsea earlier today, Marotta believes the European giants can turn their season around.
We have a core of the squad that brought great success in recent years. We’ve got a great squad that won everything except the Champions League. It’ll be tough to better the 2014-15 campaign.
