Diego Costa called a ‘cheat’ by his own team-mate

Following the events against Arsenal on Saturday, one of Diego Costa’s own team-mates has branded the Spanish striker as a ‘cheat.’

In a post-match interview with BeIN Sport, French defender Kurt Zouma, who scored on the afternoon, made the remark which will probably turn the heat up on Costa even more.

If that’s not enough, Costa is waiting to see whether or not the FA are going to punish him for his involvement with Gabriel Paulista which saw the Gunners’ defender get sent-off.

In that interview, Zouma made a couple of remarks such as the fact that Costa likes to get the opponents ‘out of his game‘ and the Blues camp are ‘proud‘ of him, even if he does ‘cheat a lot.’

Zouma went on to say:

We’re not surprised because we know Diego. Everyone knows Diego and this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponent out of his game.

That [the incident with Paulista] happened in the game but he’s a really nice guy. We’re proud to have him, like the other players, and we’re happy to win this game today.

The comments made by the France international may only add increasing pressure to the English Football Association to act on the Blues striker who was so important to title win last season.
