The Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea scouts have put together a four-man goalkeeper shortlist after fears over Asmir Begovic’s fitness.
Number one goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has been ruled our for 4 months through injury and Chelsea now only have one senior goalkeeper in Asmir Begovic.
21-year old, Jamal Blackman made the bench against Walsall during the week, but Mourinho is looking for some experience, should the worst case scenario occur. Chelsea’s staff are preparing for the worse and have identified four goalkeepers that are currently out of favour at their current clubs.
Chelsea will be trying to secure a deal outside of the transfer window, if the Blues are unable to secure an emergency loan, they will be forced to wait until January.
The Premier League champions would require approval from the Premier League by proving enough evidence that they need a signing and don’t have adequate resources currently at the club.
