The Mirror are reporting today that Jose Mourinho has blasted Newcastle United. The Chelsea manager said that they only played above their usual level due to them playing Chelsea.
Newcastle took a two-goal lead against Chelsea yesterday, however, late goals from Brazilians Ramires and Willian salvaged Chelsea a point.
Newcastle, still looking for a first Premier League win of the season, were revitalised against the reigning champions and Chelsea struggled to deal with the Magpies for the majority of play.
Jose Mourinho has never won a match at St. James’ Park and has lost on three occasions to Newcastle there.

He said:
I think maybe one of the reasons why Newcastle over the years doesn’t get good positions is because of this mentality, it’s because they choose some matches to sweat blood and in other matches, they don’t. This is an attitude typical of a team that wins nothing.
But Mourinho was complimentary of his rivals and insists that they were worth the point – despite believing they do not do it often enough.
Despite his harsh words on Newcastle, Mourinho did praise them for their point and thought that they fully deserved a point versus his Chelsea side.
He said:
The reality is that they fought hard, they gave everything, they followed a line that many pundits gave straight away. You have to fight, you have to kick, you have to tackle, you have to run – so they were exactly that, and they fought for a point, and I think they deserved a point the way they fought.
Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum gave Newcastle a 2-0 lead with goals either side of the half-time interval before Ramires scored a long-range effort and Willian scored a free-kick to level the game up as the points were shared between Newcastle and Chelsea.
