Everton and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted his desire to work with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for a second time.
22-year-old Lukaku was part of Chelsea’s squad when the self-proclamied ‘Special One’ returned to Stamford Bridge but was soon loaned out to Everton and then sold to the Merseyside club in 2014.
The striker has made the media aware that he doesn’t hold any type of grudge against his former boss who barely gave him the chance to prove himself – and as a result is finding form at his current club.
Lukaku enjoyed loan spells at both West Brom and Everton before being sold to the latter and was only given a brief chance at Stamford Bridge. The ex-Anderlecht man missed a penalty when the west London club came up against Bayern Munich and was then shown the door without hesitation from the Portugese boss.
Lukaku netted a brace on Monday night to help Everton come from 2-0 down against his former side West Brom to win the game 2-3.
Speaking to Sport/Foot Magazine, Lukaku said:
Mourinho is the one coach I would like to work with, and then there are Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger. In that exact order.
