Chelsea alerted by young Vitesse striker

Chelsea have been alerted to the talent of young Vitesse Arnhem striker Thomas Buitink, according to The Daily Mail.

Manchester City are also reportedly monitoring the 15-year-old though The Blues could be in pole position to sign the youngster due to the partnership with Vitesse.

Buitink is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in Holland, with the striker already capped at U15 and U16 level with the national side.

The 15-year-old forward has already scored over 100 goals for Vitesse at youth level, boasting a remarkable goal scoring average of more than one goal every game since 2010-11, and is currently playing for Vitesse’s U17 side.

Buitink, and 14-year-old defender Georgy Theuns have been training in the first team alongside a number of Chelsea loanee’s.

Lewis Baker, pictured, Dominic Solanke, Izzy Brown, Nathan and Danilo Pantic are all currently on loan in the Eredivisie with Vitesse, and will no doubt be keeping an eye on Buitink in training.

Manchester United and Arsenal are also expected to join the Blues and City in monitoring the striker’s progress in the coming weeks.
