Chelsea youngster could make early return from loan

According to Football Italia, who quote Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea are set to discuss the details of Nathaniel Chalobah’s loan with Napoli soon.

The discussion could result in Chalobah being sent back to Chelsea in January, despite signing a season-long loan with the Italian side. The loan move for Chalobah looked like a great move for both parties, with it opening up the opportunity to play in Europe and test himself abroad. However, the move has not gone to plan as of yet.

Chalobah has only made one appearance for Napoli, coming off the bench against Legia Warsaw in the Europa League, which lasted for just five minutes.

The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Burnley and Reading respectively, impressing at the latter as he helped Reading towards the FA Cup Semi-Final.

Should Chalobah return to Chelsea in January, it is likely he will be loaned out again, possibly remaining in England.
