Lewis Baker is hoping that his current loan spell in Holland with Vitesse Arnhem will give him the skills to reach the top.
After being included once again in Gareth Southgate’s England under-21 squad for the upcoming game against Kazakhstan, Baker was speaking to the official FA website and he’s hoping to return to Chelsea next season as a much better player.
Baker, alongside both Dominic Solanke and Izzy Brown, has become a regular in the Vitesse side in the early parts of the season and is relishing the opportunity that has been presented to him.
I’m really enjoying it, the football is slightly different and is a lot more technical and tactical out there.

Baker has already spoken earlier on the season urging other young English prospects to take loan spells abroad and broaden their horizons and he reiterates that once again.
The Eredivisie is a top league and I think it’s a good learning place for me, on the pitch and off the pitch.
Baker will be hoping to play against Kazakhstan on Tuesday night alongside Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek before returning to the Netherlands where Vitesse face Zwolle in the Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon.
