Besiktas plot move for Chelsea defender

Tomas Kalas’ future may lie elsewhere after his agent revealed interest from Turkish side Besiktas according to the Gazette Live.

Kalas, currently only loan at Middlesbrough has failed to make an impact at Chelsea and has seen most of his Chelsea career, being spent on numerous loan spells.

His most memorable moment in a Chelsea shirt came against Liverpool in that memorable 2-0 victory back in the 2013-14 season. Kalas put in an excellent performance against a very strong Liverpool attacked which included Luis Suarez.

Kalas joined Chelsea back in 2010, for a reported £5.2m from Sigma Olomouc, but has featured for Vitesse, FC Koln and now Middlesbrough in his latest loan. The defender signed a new contract in July to keep him at the club until 2018.

In total, Kalas has made just four appearances in a Chelsea shirt. Whilst his agent has not ruled out the possibility of remaining at Stamford Bridge, he has hinted, if Kalas does not get the chance, the defender will not be hanging around.

(The Besiktas) management wants to see (Kalas) in their squad in the summer. Currently, there is no definite situation but Besiktas may look hot. However, until the end of the football season we should not forget the Middlesbrough (loan) agreement. (He) plans to continue his career in England in the first place.

But next season if Chelsea can be seen as less of a chance to form plans to reshuffle his career, Besiktas wants to see him in the summer. For now, it would not be right to say anything definite about the transfer but at the end of the season, Besiktas may look hot.
