Following his side’s dismal form since the start of the season, Jose Mourinho is looking to freshen his squad in January with the Daily Star reporting that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore could be on the Portuguese’s radar.
Chelsea picked up a win over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, only their third win in the Premier League this season. A goal from Diego Costa and an Alan Hutton own goal gave Mourinho’s side a 2-0 win.
Table toppers Manchester City are already 10 points ahead of the current champions in the table, and Mourinho is reported to be interested in splashing the cash in the upcoming transfer window in order to revive the Blues’ season.
Alongside being wanted on a loan deal by the Blues, Javier Pastore has also had interest expressed in by Juventus, Arsenal, Inter, Liverpool and Fenerbahce.
Argentine international Pastore has been at the Ligue 1 side since making the switch from Italian outfit Palermo in 2011.
