Ex-Chelsea boss warns Mourinho over Hazard treatment

Former Chelsea manager Glenn Hoddle says that Jose Mourinho needs to be careful with regards to how he treats winger Eden Hazard as he could risk the player leaving the club.

Mourinho dropped Hazard from Chelsea’s 2-0 home win over Aston Villa, although he did bring him back into the starting lineup for the 0-0 Champions League draw with Dynamo Kiev.

Reports have emerged which claim that the 24-year-old Belgian is apparently looking to leave the club after becoming disillusioned at life in London, with La Liga giants Real Madrid the most likely club to sign him.

Speaking to ITV Sport, Hoddle said:

Mourinho has to be careful with Hazard and how he deals with him off the pitch. If he does get too disgruntled, you could see him leaving Chelsea or wanting to leave Chelsea. Chelsea need him and the Premier League needs him

Hazard scored 16 Premier League goals last season and was voted as the PFA’s Player of the Year. He was a huge reason as to why The Blues were able to win the league title.

However, he has struggled to make an impact on games this season and is yet to find the back of the net in eight league games.
