According to the Daily Mail, Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco submitted a £35m bid to Chelsea Football Club for Jose Mourinho, which was rejected.
The newspaper claims that Alessandro Proto, a shareholder of the French side, met with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in London in an attempt to grab the Portuguese boss from his post at the Blues.
Following the lack of good form from the current champions, Mourinho’s immediate future has been put under major threat by the media, but it seems that the fans at the club are on the side of their manager.

Monaco were looking to steal the former Porto, Inter and Real Madrid boss from under the nose of the West London club, who have stood firm when announcing that Mourinho is fully backed by the board.
Chelsea’s Russian owner knocked back the £35m bid from the French club, on the same day when Mourinho announced he will still be at Chelsea in 2019.
Despite the fact that the Blues are currently sitting in fifteenth place in the Premier League table, everyone around the club seems to be in Mourinho’s corner, with plenty of players speaking out and backing their boss, including captain John Terry.
