Mancini chasing Ivanovic

Inter Milan are reportedly eyeing up a move for struggling Chelsea defender, Branislav Ivanovic, according to the Mirror.

Ivanovic is in the final year of his contract and Chelsea are not planning to consider opening talks until at least February, due to the policy Chelsea hold with players over the age of 30. Ivanovic will be able to speak to foreign clubs in January as he enters the final few months of his contract.

The Serbian and his family are believed to be settled in London and keen to stay put. The defender has been at Chelsea since 2008, after joining from Lokomotiv Moscow.

Inter boss, Roberto Mancini is thought to be keen on doing a deal and will look to secure the defender on a free transfer at the end of the season. The 31-year-old is keen to impress Mourinho in the hope of clinching a new deal at Stamford Bridge, however his form has taken a huge dip this season.
