Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is a transfer target for Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Madrid President Florentino Perez is reportedly looking to sell the high-profile duo of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo and have lined up both Hazard and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski as their replacements.
According to the report in Diario Sport, Perez has grown “tired of the rudeness” of Ronaldo. He is also keen to let Benzema go to stop his current legal troubles tarnishing the club.
Hazard, who won the PFA Player of the Year award after helping lead Chelsea to the Premier League title, has been in poor form this season and is no longer a guaranteed starter in Jose Mourinho’s side, and a move to Madrid could be something he welcomes if the two clubs could agree on a transfer fee.
Despite his poor start to the campaign, it is unlikely that Chelsea would be willing to let their 24-year-old Belgian leave, especially after the form he showed last season.
