Summer signing Pedro could face shocking January departure

Summer signing Pedro has sensationally been placed at the top of Jose Mourinho’s unwanted list as the struggling Chelsea manager looks to shake up his squad in the January transfer window following a poor start to the season, according to reports.

Following the Spaniard’s £21.4million move from Barcelona late at the end of August, Pedro has so far struggled to adapt to the physicality and ferocity of the English Premier League and has only managed to score twice in all competitions as Chelsea hover precariously over the relegation zone.

And according to reports in Spain, as reported by the Daily Star, Mourinho has apparently drawn up a list of players he deems are no longer needed at the club that not only includes the winger, but also fellow summer signings Radamel Falcao and Papy Djilobodji – who was signed after a number of failed attempts to acquire John Stones from Everton.

However, the list also includes a number of star names with Eden Hazard being linked with a move to Real Madrid, whilst Juventus continue to monitor the situation regarding Oscar’s future at the club.

Another star being linked with a sensational exit is that of fans’ favourite Diego Costa, who this year has been involved in a number of off-the-ball altercations that has blighted his playing time on the pitch whilst also contributing little to Chelsea’s play.

The extra problems being provided by his first-choice striker may resign Mourinho to cutting his losses with the Brazilian-born Spanish international as the side have struggled to create goalscoring opportunities with Willian the only real goalscoring outlay currently providing.
