The January transfer window is nearly here and Chelsea could dip into the market to sign reinforcements for the remainder of the season. But, what exactly is going to happen? We quizzed popular Twitter account, Chelsea HQ to get his thoughts.
With the January transfer window coming up, where do you stand on Falcao and his future at Chelsea?
Signing Falcao was a big gamble for Chelsea, a gamble that hasn’t paid off. You could argue he hasn’t had too much game time, but he is no longer the brilliant striker he was a couple of years ago.
I now understand why Manchester United fans backed the Colombian all the way, despite failing so miserably. It’s very sad to see the demise of such a great footballer and a truly humble guy.
Falcao’s time at Chelsea should come to an end in January and the club must replace him with a proven goalscorer.
Would you like to see Patrick Bamford recalled and given a chance?
While I would like to think Patrick Bamford has a long-term future at Chelsea, I am not sure January is the ideal time to bring him back.
He hasn’t been able to make much of an impact when has played for Crystal Palace and his loan spell, in general, has been disappointing.

Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in bringing him back on loan, another stint in the Championship with a potential push for promotion would be a good experience for him.
Chelsea, on the other hand, need a striker who will guarantee goals. Bamford isn’t quite ready yet.
If you could bring back any loan player, who would you pick and why?
I’m a big fan of Andreas Christensen, who is doing really well for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League. In fact, he was voted the club’s Player of the Month today.
Chelsea made some terrible panic buys in his position. The easiest and cheapest way to fix our problems in defence would be to recall the young Denmark international, who is more than ready for first team football in the Premier League.
If you could bring in any three realistic signings in January, who would you sign?
Ruben Neves has looked impressive for Porto this season. The 18-year can play in most midfield positions and would add some much-needed quality to our squad.
The club also needs to back Jose Mourinho if he decides to go back in for John Stones. It will take a massive transfer fee to lure him away from Merseyside, but he would be a quality long-term investment.
Finding a world class striker who is available and eligible to play in Europe during the January transfer window is near to impossible.
Chelsea might have to settle for something less until the summer and, while Saido Berahino’s name has been mentioned, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the likes of Charlie Austin and Graziano Pellé linked with a move.

I do feel for him. He was badly let down by his representatives and also Chelsea, who never should have signed him in the first place.
Is this a sign of a new defender coming in?
It would be suicidal going into the second half of the season without signing another quality defender. Kurt Zouma still needs to learn, Branislav Ivanovic has been diabolical and a lack of pace is becoming a real problem for Gary Cahill and John Terry.
Is Diego Costa a long term answer for Chelsea or should they be in the market for a ‘world class’ striker?
Diego Costa is a world class striker, but is one really enough? If you look at the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, they have several world class options up front, that’s why they are constantly challenging for the Champions League.

There are stories that Diego Costa hasn’t really settled in England. Whether he does stay at Chelsea or not, the club must target at least one world class striker next summer.
