Football Manager 2016 has been out for a week now, and I have yet to play it. I pre-ordered the game with the intent of playing the beta, but that never happened either. Hell, I even bought Football Manager 2015 when it was something like 75 percent off in the Steam store, and yet, somehow, never really played it. The 2014 edition? Same old song and dance.
Every time I told my friends that I purchased the game, they warned me of how much it would consume my life — that just never seemed to happen.
The truth is — I don’t care much for the Football Manager series. I prefer the FIFA series, even with as controversial as FIFA 16 has been. I’m a pretty impatient person, and watching words on a computer screen (even though that’s my day job) just doesn’t seem fun to me.
But this year will be different. I’m going to turn a corner, at least for the sake of reader enjoyment and interaction — “interaction” being the key word.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, I will be doing a Football Manager 2016 save with Chelsea FC. Actually, let me re-phrase that — WE will be doing a Football Manager 2016 save as ReadChelsea FC. Basically, I’ll provide starting points and throw around ideas, as well as take the readers’ input, and we’ll cast votes via Twitter on decisions such as transfers, lineups, etc.
I haven’t started the save yet because I need your input.
What you can expect early next week: the save will be started and we’ll take a look at the squad, as well establish some goals.
To interact and have your voice be heard, tweet us @ReadChelseaFC.
