It was a surprise to many when on transfer deadline day, Chelsea secured the services of Reading defender, Michael Hector for £4.5m.
The 23-year-old was immediately loaned back to Steve Clarke’s side rather than being included in the first-team squad, however, according to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho wants to recall the defender and include him in the Chelsea squad.
Chelsea beat off interest from Crystal Palace to sign Hector.

The news comes days after reports that Papy Djilobodji could be on his way out of the club after playing just one minute of football this season. Djiolbodji was also signed on deadline day, the same day as Hector.
Turkish side, Besiktas are reportedly eyeing up a January loan move according to the report.
Rumours were confirmed by Reading executive Samrit Thanakanchanasut, who was speaking to Goal.
Chelsea want him back early but I think we’ll retain him as we agreed until the end of the season.
A big factor in Chelsea’s poor season has been their defence, Mourinho has failed to find the right combination in his back four. Is Michael Hector the answer? Let us know your thoughts.
