Papy Djilobodji’s agent, Mouhamed Gueye, has insisted his client will fight for his place at Chelsea, despite his on-field time being incredibly limited so far this season.
The Senegalese defender, signed on transfer deadline day in the summer, has played a meagre one minute of football for the Blues – against Walsall during the Capital One Cup tie between the teams.
Djilobodji was signed from Ligue 1 side Nantes as Chelsea failed in their drawn-out attempts to prise John Stones from Everton.

The 27-year-old no doubt joined with aims of making an impact at his new club but as of yet that’s definitely not materialised.
Djilobodji has recently been linked with a move to Italy – more specifically Rome and Lazio – but the defender’s agent has denied those links.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Gueye said:
I do not know anything about a possible transfer of Papy to Lazio in January. From Rome right now I have not received any demonstration of interest to my client, let alone a phone call.
With the festive period on its way, a notoriously busy time for clubs on the fixture list, the centre-back will be hoping he might get his opportunity to make a lasting impression on Jose Mourinho.
