Pressure is on Chelsea says Wes Morgan

Leicester City defender, Wes Morgan says the pressure is all on Chelsea come Monday night.

Chelsea travel to the King Power Stadium on Monday night to face the side that are atop the Premier League table.

Morgan told Leicester’s official website:

The pressure is on Chelsea a little bit. They’re not in the best of form at the moment and they should be doing a lot better. We can’t write them off because they’re a fantastic team with fantastic players. At some point we know they will come good and go on a run of winning games.

The current Premier League champions go into the game off the back of a 2-0 victory in the Champions League after beating Jose Mourinho’s former employers, FC Porto at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League, and depending on other results, Mourinho’s side could start the game in 19th position. Nearly a complete contrast to both teams if you look back to last season.

He added:

Everyone expects them to win every game but we’re full of confidence and we should be looking to get a win.

The Blues will also come up against a familiar face on Monday night in Claudio Ranieri. The Leicester boss recently backed Chelsea to turn their season around and finish inside the top four.

Chelsea won 3-1 at the King Power last season, putting one hand on the trophy.
