Chelsea slumped to another defeat in the Premier League as high-flying Leicester topped the table by beating the champions 2-1, thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
After an even start to the game, Eden Hazard limped off injured and the bad news got even worse as Vardy got on the end of a teasing cross and beat Thibaut Courtois. After the break, Leicester came out the traps firing as Mahrez jinked past Cesar Azpilicueta and rifled a shot into the top corner.
It’s another embarrassing loss for Jose Mourinho as he saw side well beaten by his Chelsea predecessor Claudio Ranieri and Chelsea are now just one point above the relegation zone.
As the January transfer window edges ever closer, fans must be eager to see if Roman Abramovich sticks with the Chelsea manager and allows him to add to his squad over winter.
