Hasselbaink targets Musonda to help promotion bid

Queens Park Rangers manager and former Chelsea striker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to take Charly Musonda on loan from his former side.

According to the Mirror, Hasselbaink was present at Chelsea’s latest U21s game against Middlesbrough with his eyes on the young Belgian talent.

Hasselbaink is thought to be keen on bringing the youngster to Loftus Road on loan in the January transfer window in a bid to help Rangers’ promotion bid.

Scouts from Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar were also present at the game, whilst Musonda has also attracted interest from other clubs around Europe.

The former Chelsea striker’s side currently sit 12th in the Championship, five points off the play-off spots.

Musonda recently hinted that he would be moving away from the club in January, after through an Instagram post, that was later edited, making his destination unclear.

Musonda is one of the brightest talents in the Chelsea academy and is held in very high regard at Stamford Bridge.
