Ajax have joined the race to sign Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore on loan, according to the Daily Mail.
Traore is wanted on loan by the Dutch giants and the deal will probably take place in the January transfer window. Traore enjoyed a good spell away from England last season at Dutch side Vitesse.
Traore scored 13 goals for Vitesse last season as he was transformed from a wide player to a striker.
On his return to England, ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho promoted him to the first-team squad, however, the 20-year-old has only appeared three times this season. As a sub against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League, against Stoke in the Capital One Cup and lastly recently against Bournemouth in the Barclays Premier League.
Although Ajax are currently top of the Eredivisie with the most goals scored in the league, they want Traore as a replacement for current loanee Yaya Sanogo. The on-loan Arsenal man has struggled to perform for Ajax since joining on loan and he has failed to score so far this season.
