Christian Atsu is reportedly training with the Chelsea first team and could be handed a Chelsea lifeline under Guus Hiddink, according to the Daily Star.
Meaning that he could start for the struggling Chelsea side, who have only won five times in the league, and are going in a different direction to what they did last season.
Atsu joined the Cherries on a season-long loan deal but the move did not work out, with the young winger only making two appearances for Bournemouth, those both being in the Capital One Cup.
The winger returned to Chelsea for treatment after he picked up a shin injury whilst on international duty with Ghana, although he returned to the Vitality Stadium in early-December. This is what could have hampered his chances of playing in the Cherries’ first team.
Atsu is back at Stamford Bridge for good, and the club could either use him as a member of Guus Hiddink’s first team squad and he could get some Premier League game time, or they could choose to transfer him elsewhere. However, as it stands, Atsu is training with the first team squad, so the first option is more likely.
