Premier League side plan Feruz loan bid

Swansea are reportedly considering a loan bid for Chelsea youngster, Islam Feruz, according to Get West London.

The striker has spent the first half of the 2015/16 season in Scotland, on loan at Hibernian but has struggled to hold down a place in their squad.

Because of the lack of game time, Feruz is ready to activate a clause in his contract that’ll end the loan deal early.

Hibernian manager, Alan Stubbs said this about Feruz:

If he decides that he wants to go back to Chelsea then that will be his decision, but my preferred option would be for him to stay and fight for his place. If he goes back it will be not through ourselves. We are not looking at anyone leaving, but I can understand that Izzy would have liked more game time.

The reports that the 20-year-old may be up for grabs as put Swansea on high alert, with the club desperately short up front as they fight against a possible relegation battle.

Swansea could also lose Bafetimbi Gomis this window, making a move for a replacement, even more, important.

Feruz has failed to live up to expectation since joining Chelsea from Celtic in 2011, despite some promising performances in the Blues’ youth academy.

Premier League new boys Bournemouth are also thought to be keeping an eye on his situation, as well as Derby County as they chase promotion to the top flight.
