Hiddink believes Guardiola will suit the Premier League

Chelsea interim manager, Guus Hiddink believes that the Premier League bound, Pep Guardiola will suit the English league well, according to ESPN.

The Bayern Munich manager recently revealed he will not be renewing his contract in Germany in order to pursue his desire to manage in England.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are thought to be in a three-horse race for the manager, with City favourites to sign the Spaniard.

It has been debated how Guardiola, who has enjoyed various successes at both Barcelona and Bayern Munich will adapt to the Premier League and whether or not he will enjoy the same success.

Hiddink believes Guardiola would suit any of the biggest teams in Europe and says he can understand why the former Barcelona manager wants to take the leap of faith into the Premier League.

The interim Chelsea manager said:

He would fit in any big team in the world, he has shown in a very fast career that he is capable of managing a team very well. But it’s difficult to say he must go to a certain team in the Premier League and I don’t want to put more pressure on managers and directors. Let it come as it comes.

Hiddink, who faced Guardiola during his first spell as Chelsea manager, said:

He has worked in La Liga, he has worked in the Bundesliga and now he wants to work in the Premier League. I have had this experience. Unfortunately I never worked in Germany but the Bundesliga is a beautiful league, the Spanish league I worked in for several years and it’s a beautiful league, so I can understand that he expresses his desire to work in the Premier League.
