Hiddink can’t take all the credit at Chelsea says Pulis

Ahead of tomorrow’s meeting at Stamford Bridge, Tony Pulis has had his say on the recent revival at Chelsea.

According to Get West London, Pulis believes it would be disrespectful towards the former manager, Jose Mourinho.

Pulis believes that there may have been other factors that have played a part in Chelsea’s recent improvements.

He said:

There might have been other reasons that things didn’t go so well this year but to put Jose down is completely and utterly out of order. What you said was disrespectful to Mourinho and also the players that won the league last year because they played some great football last year, some fantastic football.

Since taking over, Chelsea are unbeaten in five under Guus Hiddink. Four of those five games coming in the Premier League. The Blues have managed wins over Sunderland and Crystal Palace as well as getting draws against Watford and Manchester United.

A win on Wednesday night will take Hiddink’s Chelsea above their opponents on the night into 12th place.

Pulis admitted that his West Brom side are in for a tough test when they face Chelsea. They come into the game following a 2-2 draw at home to Bristol City in the FA Cup.

The West Brom manager said:

We’re in for a tough game It’s Chelsea they’ve some wonderful players and we’ll have to be on it and at our best. That’s the same with every top four or five club. If you go away and play against them you have to have at least ten of your players playing to their maximum to get a result.
