Pato prefers Chelsea move

Forgotten Brazilian forward, Alexandre Pato would prefer a move to Chelsea rather than Liverpool according to the Independent.

The former AC Milan striker has been linked with a move to several clubs with his current side, Corinthians, keen to offload the striker due to his high wages. Last season, the striker scored 26 goals in 59 appearances for Sao Paulo.

Liverpool did seem the most likely of destinations for Pato after several weeks of speculation, however, Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of the Brazilian signing for the Merseyside club.

Pato would cost Chelsea around £11m, a cut-price with the striker’s contract expiring in December. The Premier League champions are on the hunt for another striker, with Guus Hiddink recently revealing he may be forced to sign another forward.

Radamel Falcao has been ruled out until March and Loic Remy has struggled with injuries throughout the season. Diego Costa has luckily overcome an injury to face West Brom at Stamford Bridge.
