Costa’s aggression not an issue says Hiddink

Costa’s aggression not an issue says Hiddink

Guus Hiddink reveals he has no problems Diego Costa’s attitude, according to Sky Sports.

The player’s temperament came into question following last night’s 2-2 draw at home to West Brom. The striker was booked after a poor tackle on Baggies midfielder, Gary Gardner.

As well as the booking, the striker was involved in several confrontations with the Albion players, as well as confronting referee, Anthony Taylor after he decided to blow for half-time as Chelsea broke on the counter attack.

This is nothing new from Diego Costa who has always had doubts over his ability to control his emotion during matches, however, Hiddink insisted the striker was provoked throughout the game.

If you have watched closely and carefully, they were a bit provoking and it was mutual. Those clashes, I didn’t see any bad things in this.

The striker was involved in a training ground bust-up with Oscar just last week, however, that seems to have been resolved.

Following the full-time whistle, Costa reportedly caused some damage to the tunnel at the Bridge on his way to the dressing room, when Hiddink was questioned on this, he replied:

Well we can repair that easily, that’s not a big problem. He’s an emotional guy and I like that very much.
