Summer signing Pedro has admitted that he has been struggling to adapt to the Premier League and the tactics used in England.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard, the former Barcelona man has admitted he has been struggling but does not regret his summer move from the La Liga champions.
The Spaniard said:
I’m happy living here. It’s a great city and a great League to play in, although the Premier League is very different to La Liga. There are lots of differences, the main one being the type of game that most teams play. In Spain it’s more tactical and here it is much more intense and competitive.
Pedro fell out of favour at his boyhood club after a lack of game time, playing behind Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

The Premier League offers a different level of opponent and much more competitive league, Pedro admitted he is still learning how other teams play:
In Spain, you always try to give the ball to someone in the middle of the pitch and they take it from there to build up the play. But here, teams play longer passes to stretch the game. I’m slowly adapting and we practice a lot in training, so I try to put what I learn into my game during matches as well. I am getting used to it, getting used to the people and making friends, so it is going well.
The winger’s transition to life at Chelsea hasn’t been easy, with the Spaniard coming in and out of the team. Pedro has suffered recently under Guus Hiddink, the winger was substituted and replaced by Kenedy at half-time against West Brom.
Some Chelsea fans have urged the Chelsea boss to start the Brazilian over the former Champions League winner.
Pedro believes his new club are improving after a disappointing season:
We’ve been having some good results, the team has been improving and hopefully we will move towards the top of the table, which is where we should be.
