Alexandre Pato has revealed that his move to Chelsea is a dream come true, according to Get West London.
The striker was spotted at Heathrow Airport after jetting in from Brazil through the night. Upon arrival at the airport, the former AC Milan striker told Sky Sports:
I’m so happy. I stay here for my dream. Chelsea is my new home. Thanks to Chelsea for support. Thanks to my fans for support on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Pato is expected to undergo a medical before joining the Premier League champions on loan until the end of the season.
The Brazilian international added:
I need to play. I don’t know what to say because I’m so happy. I’m very anxious [to play] and I want to know my new friends and players in the team. I really want to play in Chelsea.
Chelsea will reportedly pay the striker’s wages at around £30,000 per week. The striker will have a point to prove, with the club holding the option to make his move permanent at the end of the season.
Pato’s arrival could see the end of Loic Remy’s time at Chelsea. The French striker has been linked with moves to Crystal Palace and Newcastle, as he hopes to make a bid to land a spot in France’s Euro 2016 squad.
