Alexandre Pato, the man, the myth, the legend. The January signing came off the bench against Aston Villa to play a key part in Chelsea’s 4-0 win on Saturday.
The Brazilian replaced the injured Loic Remy and his impressive performance which included a goal from the spot, as well as playing a key role in both of Pedro’s goals in the second half, raised some questions about his future.
It is clear to see that Radamel Falcao will not be at the club next season and with Antonio Conte’s preference of playing two strikers, should Pato be at the club next season?
The former AC Milan player is clearly very happy to be at the club and is here with a point to prove after his career has stagnated through injuries.
Against Aston Villa, albeit a very dejected Villa side, he offered Chelsea something a bit different to what the likes of Diego Costa and Loic Remy have done this season.
As well as this, he has become a bit of a fan favourite, whether that is for the right reasons or not, we’ll leave to you to decide.
So, let us know what you think. Based on the role that he would play, most likely as a backup striker and if Falcao leaves at the end of the season, should the Brazilian stay on at Chelsea?
