Guus Hiddink’s unbeaten run in the Premier League as interim Chelsea manager came to an end as Chelsea fell to an away defeat to Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
A first half goal from Icelandic midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson was enough to see off Hiddink’s side as the Welsh side went on the hunt of securing their Premier League safety.
After a number of injuries, Hiddink was forced to name a Chelsea side with a difference. Matt Miazga kept his place in the side after an impressive debut at Aston Villa, whilst Alexandre Pato was also rewarded for his goal against Villa with his first start.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek started behind the Brazilian with Pedro and Oscar either side of him.
Youth players Charlie Colkett, Ola Aina and Kasey Palmer all travelled with the first-team squad but none of the three managed to make it off the bench, despite, on the whole, a poor performance from the senior players.
