It has been announced by Guus Hiddink in today’s press conference that Chelsea captain John Terry has been offered a new one-year deal to stay at Stamford Bridge next season.
Following months of speculation surrounding the defender’s future, it appears that the most successful player in Chelsea’s history will be staying for at least another year.
In a tweet from the club’s official Twitter account, it is said that Terry is considering the offer.

Following his second red card of the season against Sunderland last Saturday, Terry would have missed his final game at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea against Leicester City on Sunday. But following reports that the club had cancelled their tribute to Terry at last night’s end of season awards, new speculation that the skipper was staying began to surface.
It now looks almost certain that the Chelsea captain will lead the club into a new era under Antonio Conte next season, and this is a move that will surely please all involved at the club.
