Well, there you have it. Chelsea’s horrendous season has come to an end with the Blues settling for a 10th place finish under Guus Hiddink.
Now Chelsea fans will wait for the summer ahead to pass for the arrival of Antonio Conte after the Euros. This will give them a chance to reflect and learn from the 2015-16 season, which has been nothing short of dramatic.
The season didn’t get off to the best of starts, a poor pre-season led to a dreadful title defence, and before you knew it, it was mathematically impossible for Chelsea to retain the title and Jose Mourinho had lost his job.
Everyone involved in the club will be hoping for a better Premier League campaign when Conte arrives next season, as the club looks to get back into European football, where they belong.
So, let’s look back and see what we can learn from such a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.
