They say hindsight is 20/20.
With the 2015/16 season done and gone, Chelsea fans have had time to reflect on the season that was and look at where things went wrong.
There have been plenty of points in the season that have defined Chelsea’s campaign – from the four points in the opening five matches, to nine points in eight matches from November to December and to Stamford Bridge seemingly going from a war zone to a pillow fight for opponents.
For me, the writing was somewhat on the wall before the season even began. It was no secret that former manager Jose Mourinho took the 2014/15 squad to new heights and had them punching slightly above their weight in an arguably below average Premier League field last season.
With Mourinho seemingly nailed on to be the next manager at Manchester United, I look back on five recent decisions that have come back to haunt Chelsea Football Club.
