Chelsea winger Pedro has stated that it’d come as a ‘big loss’ to Chelsea Football Club, should Diego Costa depart Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 27-year-old striker played a huge part in the 2014/15 season when the Blues won the league with ease under Jose Mourinho in his second season back in West London.
Scoring 20 goals in 26 games during the title-winning season, an abundance of media outlets suggested that a return to Atletico Madrid could be on the cards for the Spaniard. However, the reports didn’t gain any momentum.

But, last season, it’s clear that the Spaniard, alongside the entire Chelsea side, really struggled last season. As a result, the reports linking Costa with a return to Atletico have picked up again.
When asked about Costa’s potential exit, Pedro admitted to Mundo Deportivo that the Blues would miss the striker if he did leave.
We do not know what will happen, but he would be a very big loss for us [at Chelsea]. We want him to stay, and we will see what happens with him.
However, Sky Sports reported back in April that a move back to the Calderon for Costa would be ‘almost impossible’ – even if both parties wanted the move to go through.
