Colombian winger and Chelsea flop Juan Cuadrado is thought to be on the radar of incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, after a fruitful loan spell at Juventus last season, as reported by The Daily Mail.
During his season-long loan spell at ‘The Old Lady’ Cuadrado contributed five goals and five assists during their impressive title win, and this endeavour hasn’t gone unnoticed by Conte, who’s preferred 3-5-2 formation will suit Cuadrado – since it was this said formation that saw him thrive in Turin last season.
The 28-year-old will add competition to last season’s player of the year Willian, although his lacklustre work rate may have to improve if he is to successfully compete for that coveted right-wing position.
Whilst Conte may however look to a more productive attacking outlet than the Colombian, in order to add a much needed cutting edge to Chelsea’s wing play.
Cuadrado may not be the only member of Chelsea’s wounded squad to leave West London for the reigning Italian champions. Brazilian midfielder Oscar may well look to cash in on Juventus’ unwavering interest in him.
Nothing looks likely to be resolved until Conte and Cuadrado’s respective tournament prospects are put to rest.
