In an interview quoted by the Evening Standard, Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola is sure that new Chelsea coach and fellow Italian Antonio Conte will revitalise the spirit levels at Stamford Bridge.
Once his work with the Italy national team is done at the current European Championships in France, Conte’s reign with the West London club will officially begin, and Zola has high hopes for the Blues under the new boss.
Italy headed into the tournament in France with expectancy levels low because of the squad that travelled, however, Conte has guided his side to a Round of 16 clash with current champions, Spain.

Zola believes that the new Chelsea manager has what it takes to get the Blues back to where they belong, following the hugely disappointing campaign last season, leaving them without European football for the 2016/17 campaign.
Speaking about his passion for Chelsea, and what Conte will bring to the club, Zola said:
I am very happy to have been a part of that Chelsea team. It was a wonderful time with those colleagues and I would not change it for anything in the world
I wish Conte all the success in the world in this new beginning.
Conte’s tactical ‘creed’ is based on good organisation, a lot of support and strong discipline. Chelsea is a different side to Italy but I think we will see all of those elements in Stamford Bridge next season, with a new spirit.
