Since the introduction of persistent squad numbers in 1993, a host of different players have worn the number 11 shirt at Chelsea.
Former club captain and fan favourite Dennis Wise wore the number 11 and is very closely associated with that number at the club. Dutchman Boudewijn Zenden was another to wear the number 11 shirt during his time at Stamford Bridge.
With the number 11 shirt free following the expiration of Alexandre Pato’s loan spell, Spanish winger Pedro has swapped his number 17 to use number 11.
The former Barcelona man wears the number 11 while on international duty for Spain regularly, and will use the number for Chelsea for the 2016/17 season, which all but confirms his intentions to stay at the club.
