Antonio Conte certainly knows Graziano Pelle well after managing him for the Italian national side, and with Conte set to take over at Stamford Bridge, reports have emerged linking the Southampton man with a move to Chelsea.
To get the opinions of some Chelsea fans about a possible move for Pelle, we sent out the following tweet.
Twitter: So, your thoughts on a potential move for Graziano Pelle? #CFC (@ReadChelseaFC)
Here are just some of the replies we got. Fair to say it was a bit of a mixed bag…
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC don’t want him near Chelsea (@achram_)Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC As a 3-rd striker – great choice. He already worked with Conte, played in PL, have great experience. To my mind – great deal (@vk_chelseanews)
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC If we have Costa, Batshuayi, Pellé plus Traore & Abraham back up that would be good. (@Doodarsuperstar)
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC don’t really want him (@iiDemize)
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC a good back up striker 4 batsuayi (@saulafemzy)
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC really good sub I like him & he’s potentially really good in the air, holding & target man (@valon_meshari)
Twitter: @ReadChelseaFC this he would be a decent signing. He knows what Conte wants. Plays the way the manager wants. He also knows the league (@Bravey12)
It seems like the Blues’ fans are divided on whether or not Pelle would be a good signing for the club.
It remains to be seen if Conte does decide to buy him, and if so, what that means for the likes of Diego Costa and co.
