Antonio Conte is set to formally begin work this week at Chelsea and, boy, does he have quite a job ahead of him.
As with any other summer, Chelsea have been linked to plenty of players from various countries and talent levels. Thus far, the signature of Michy Batshuayi is the only successful signee of the summer window.
Chelsea appear to be scampering to make a move for N’Golo Kante, who seems to have his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues also appear to be inching closer to a deal for Kalidou Koulibaly, although Everton’s interest isn’t making it easy for Chelsea.
Those two seem like the most concrete and realistic moves that Chelsea can make this window, and I would’ve been over-the-moon at the beginning of the window if you had told me Chelsea would end up with Kante, Koulibaly and a striker of Batshuayi’s calibre.
Today we look at seven transfer targets that Chelsea should think twice about before signing this summer.
