Brazilian winger Willian joined the club in August 2013 from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala for a fee believed to be around £32 million. Since signing for Chelsea, Willian has gone from strength to strength at Stamford Bridge.
Willian was one arguably one of few standout performers in an otherwise dreadful season during the 2015/16 campaign. His performances both in the Premier League and the Champions League saw the Brazilian named both Chelsea’s Fans’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Following his remarkable season at Stamford Bridge, Willian was rewarded with a new four-year deal to remain at Chelsea until at least 2020, putting rumours of a possible reunion with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United seemingly to bed.
