Chelsea and Werder Bremen have had a number of players that have played for both sides in recent seasons. Some have been successes at these clubs, whereas others have struggled and have since moved on. Players on list have also joined one club on a short term basis, on loan from the other club.
The English side’s season starts a little earlier than their German counterparts. Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign at home to London-rivals West Ham on August 15th, which marks new boss Antonio Conte’s first competitive game in charge. Whereas Werder Bremen kick their season off with a difficult game away to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on August 26th.
