Twenty-year-old striker Bertrand Traoré is on his way to Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax on a season-long-loan after telling the club he needs to leave for regular first-team football, according to the Telegraph.
Initially, it was expected that the Burkina Faso-born striker would be staying at Stamford Bridge, fighting for a starting spot alongside new signing Michy Batshuayi and Diego Costa. However, after recent discussions between the player and the club, it has been decided it would be beneficial if he continued his development elsewhere.
Scoring a total of four goals in 16 appearances last term, Traoré has impressed both managerial staff and fans alike after spending two years at affiliate Vitesse Arnhem, netting 20 goals in 51 games.

The move to Ajax will see him join up with manager Peter Bosz for a second time, after playing under the Dutch manager during two successful spells at Vitesse.
Ajax are in need of a striker, with former main man Arkadiusz Milik moving to Napoli to replace £77million man Gonzalo Higauín.
New head coach Antonio Conte had been expected to employ a two striker formation, although having been experimenting with a one-striker formation in the latter stages of pre-season; it is unclear what the system versus West Ham on the opening day will be.
