This weekend, Chelsea make the short trip away to Watford. This fixture is both side’s second fixture of the 2016/17 Premier League, with it being Chelsea’s first away match of the new season, as well as Watford’s first game at Vicarage Road this season.
In their first game of the new Premier League season, Watford were held to a 1-1 draw away at Southampton.
Etienne Capoue scored early on for the Hornets, but Nathan Redmond equalised for the Saints in the second half.
Chelsea, on the other hand, started the new season with a win. On Monday night, Chelsea defeated London rivals West Ham 2-1, with goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa securing all three points for the home side. James Collins scored West Ham’s only goal.
With Chelsea’s fixture against Watford coming up, we take a look back at the last five fixtures between the two sides and see how Chelsea got on in each respective game.
