Chelsea cruised home against a poor Burnley side on Saturday afternoon, recording a 3-0 victory.
The Blues were completely dominant in the first-half, with Eden Hazard and Willian controlling the game with their pace and creativity on the break. It would subsequently be the Belgian who opened the scoring, cutting in and placing the ball beyond the impressive Tom Heaton.
N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic both had superb games – constantly intercepting the ball, before setting Chelsea away on the counter-attack. Despite Chelsea’s domination, it took them right until the 41st minute to move clear of the Clarets – as Willian drove the ball into the far corner, from a tight angle.
Chelsea continued to dominate proceedings and went close on several occasions, with John Terry most notably blasting the ball over from about six-yards out. Burnley attempted to rally late on, but it would be Chelsea who’d strike last – with Victor Moses getting on the end of a fantastic Pedro cross.
