Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen will decide where his long-term future lies next summer, according to The Express.
The report suggests the 20-year-old will weigh up his decisions on where to play his football next season when his two-year loan deal with Borussia Mönchengladbach comes to an end at the end of this campaign.
Christensen joined the Bundesliga side in 2015 and made an instant impact in his debut season as he was named as Gladbach’s Player of the Year during the first-year of his loan spell.
Mönchengladbach have publicly stated their desire to sign the Denmark international on a permanent basis.

However, the centre-back revealed to German news outlet Bild that he will decide on his future at the end of his spell in the Bundesliga.
When asked where his future lies, he said:
I have not yet decided. I’m not going to do it at the moment. When it comes to me, I [won’t] decide until next summer. For me, both things [staying or leaving] are possible.

Christensen has made only three appearances at a senior level for Chelsea, compared to the 40 appearances he’s made thus far on his loan spell.
And whilst many would love to see the 20-year-old break into the Blues’ first team, Christensen has not ruled a permanent move to Gladbach out.
I don’t want to be distracted, but fully focus on the difficult tasks with Borussia. Finally, I can’t decide alone. The question is if the clubs can agree a fee.
