Antonio Conte has been criticised by former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf, who believes the Blues are playing “boring” football.
According to ESPN’s Ian Holyman, the Frenchman has not been impressed with Chelsea’s style of play so far under Conte, despite a relatively positive start to the 2016/17 campaign.
Chelsea won their opening three league fixtures, as well as a victory over Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup, but drew 2-2 away to Swansea before losing 2-1 at home against Liverpool on Friday.
And Leboeuf, who made over 200 appearances during a five-year spell at the club; winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1998 and two FA Cups, is tired of watching Conte’s tactics this season.

He told French outlet SFR Sport:
You get bored because it’s always the same style of play. There is no acceleration, no surprise.
Despite his obvious disapproval of Conte’s tactics, Leboeuf did praise Diego Costa but believes he needs more support from Chelsea’s other attacking options.
Say what you like about Diego Costa, but the boy works. He’s the one who scored [against Liverpool] and he created a second chance. The others didn’t exist. I think one of the three players [playing behind Costa] can stay, but there has to be another formula so that this team can live, show something else.
