Chelsea youngster Lewis Baker is keen to make his dream come true and return to play for Chelsea after his loan spell with Vitesse Arnhem comes to an end.
The youngster is one of Chelsea’s brightest young talents, with a number of fans hoping to see the midfielder break into the first team next season.
Baker was the top scorer in England’s triumphant Toulon tournament side, helping the U21’s lift the trophy for the first time since 1994 and has continued his fine form for Vitesse this season.
The 21-year-old has scored four goals in eight appearances for the Eredivisie side and told Chelsea’s official website in a feature interview of his desire to keep playing well before returning to Stamford Bridge.
When asked about his goal-scoring form and his confidence, Baker replied:
I have scored a few goals, yeah. I will take a fantastic goal but I will also take any kind of goal!

I want to score as many as I can, assist as many as I can. I work a lot on my finishing in training and at the moment it’s paying off. It’s just the start of the season but I need to keep doing my best every day and keep improving so I can get back to Chelsea, where I’d like to be.
Baker then went on to speak about the quality of the Eredivisie, before stating his desire to follow in the footsteps of player who have impressed in Holland before moving to the Premier League.
It’s a very good league. There’s a lot of young talent out here. There are also a lot of players who have played out here and moved on to the Premier League. If I keep going the way I’m going that’s one of my dreams I want to make come true.
